We have an embarrassing admission to make. Our site is currently down...but it comes with a story. You see a long time ago, these mountains used to be filled with horse thieves. These men of honor and dignity decided to form a union called "the workers of horse thievery". Fast forward the 60s, and along come some enterprising people who wish to build a ski resort in the middle of the horse thieves' hideout. Needless to say, the horse thieves were not doing well since cars had become something more than a fad. These enterprising ski resort developers saw an opportunity to make some easy money.
They offered the horse thieves room and board in exchange for horses to power the chairlifts, in essence, Grand Targhee from the very foundation had sold its soul to the horse thieves. Flash forward to today, we have horses running everything from chairlifts to generators that power our web servers. And this "automobile" fad is still not going away. That combined with the recent oil spill causing many people to adopt alternate forms of transportation... and you get a horse shortage. Well, the horse thieves have been working overtime trying to get us new horses, but alas, there are none to be found. So they had a meeting yesterday and decided to go on strike and take their horses with them (union regulation EX5018, "stolen horses are to remain the property of the thief who stole it"). Thus, our website is down until we can find some temporary horses.
Sorry...
